An Introduction

Hi all,

My name is Madalyn. This is my blog to share events, updates, and information about my written works. I have always had a love for writing. When I was younger, I wanted to be an writer. I am technically that, in a variety of contexts.

At this time, I'm working on more long-form writing. I finished a 58k word romantasy novel back in January, and I'm working on a few different projects: one short story collection featuring queer supernatural romances and a sapphic romance with D&D and Magic: the Gathering elements.

Some facts about me: I am a pisces, double libra, I love cookie dough ice cream, and I can read tarot.

Madalyn R. Lovejoy (she/they) is a published author and recent graduate of the University of Iowa. She currently works as a grants coordinator, and in her free time, enjoys reading, writing, and playing D&D with her friends. Their short stories can be read in Cave Writing Magazine, while their poetry can be found in Querencia Press, Delicate Friend, and sage cigarettes magazine, among others. Her chapbooks, amelioration and solacement, were published by Bottlecap Press in September 2023 and April 2024 respectively. Their play, Cored, was produced by Run of the Mill Theatre in May 2024.
